Lennon Miller bid expected soon, says father

Motherwell midfielder Lennon Miller could receive a transfer bid imminently, according to his father Lee Miller. The 18-year-old Scotland international missed Saturday's 2-2 Premier Sports Cup draw with Clyde (won on penalties) due to a minor injury.

"It's nothing serious," said Lee Miller, a former Aberdeen, Dundee United and Hearts striker. "Hopefully he'll be back soon. I expect a bid to come in - if not this week, then maybe next. There's ongoing dialogue between clubs behind the scenes."

The teenage midfielder has already made 76 appearances for Motherwell, scoring 6 goals, and earned 2 Scotland caps last season. When asked about a potential move abroad, his father confirmed: "Yeah, potentially. He's ambitious and wants to play at the highest level possible."

"After a strong season capped by international recognition, he's ready to take the next step," Miller senior told BBC Radio Scotland's Sportsound. "Ultimately, he just wants to play football. He would have featured yesterday if fit - that's what he loves doing."
